I received my training from the Functional Medicine Coaching Academy in collaboration with the Institute for Functional Medicine (IFM). My approach blends coaching tools derived from positive psychology and functional medicine principles along with mind-body techniques to help clients find inspiration, motivation and a life they love. The science of strengths is central to my approach; research from the VIA Institute shows people who utilize their strengths are 18 times more likely to thrive in life.
No stranger to the host of frustrating and oftentimes misunderstood symptoms that come with thyroid issues and environmental-related illness, I’m a member of the International Society for Environmentally Acquired Illness (ISEAI). I know firsthand the cost of burnout from unmanaged stress. It’s my desire that everyone, especially those that seem trapped in a never-ending state of hurry or who face ongoing health challenges, cultivates compassionate space for a gentle journey to deeper health and wellness.
Creativity and love of learning are at my core. I have worked in the realms of education, communications and organizational development. I first learned of the powerful connection between the mind and body during my decade in the kindergarten classroom and remain deeply curious about the interplay between our bodily experiences, thoughts and brains.
I live in the Saint Louis area with my husband and six-year-old son. On the rare occasion my nose isn’t in a book, my eyes expectantly scan the skies for rainbows.
